SHIPPING
WE SHIP
We as the seller will arrange shipment of wine, as a complimentary service provided, acting on the behalf of the purchaser. If you wish to ship to another state, you assume all responsibility for shipment and complying with local tax requirements and/or regulations. The purchaser assumes ownership of the wines once the order has been processed. We will do our best to enable precautions to ensure your order arrives safely, but Wine Moderne does not accept liability for any issues pertaining to loss or damage (physical or weather related) due to the shipping carrier. You must be 21 years or older to order alcohol via our online store.
A signature is required from a person of at least 21 years of age to receive shipped items containing alcohol. By placing your order, you have represented to Wine Moderne that you are at least 21.
SHIPPING COSTS
The prices of our wines do not include charges for shipping, number of bottles ordered and expedited shipping and insurance protections. The appropriate shipping charges will appear in the shopping cart during checkout.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, seller reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address. Seller is unable to assist in arranging for shipment to P.O. Boxes, military APOs/FPOs/DPOs/MPOs or international addresses. If purchaser’s shipment is returned to our facility, we will not re-ship until the purchaser has provided additional shipment instruction such as an alternative deliverable address.
FedEx Ground is the Wine Moderne carrier of choice. Ground shipping is provided at current market rates. *Note – If the customer selects premium delivery options in order to expedite shipping, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.
WE DELIVER
Local deliveries are made to surrounding areas within a 25 mile radius on purchases of wine with a $150 minimum. A $20 delivery fee will be added. We are located in Costa Mesa, CA 92627.
If you’re right in the immediate neighborhood, let’s talk. We can run it over to you in no time at all! We are gladly delivering to Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Santa Ana. Please shoot us a note or ring us up with any inquiries and we will take it from there.
We deliver daily between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Additional charges may be incurred by the carrier for missed/attempted delivery on numerous attempts.
MISSED RETURN/SHIPMENT
What a shame! We are not responsible for missed delivery or any returned shipments. Several attempts are made to get you the primo wines you have been longing for. Carriers are not leaving wine on the porch. A “door tag” will not be left behind for a signature. After the third attempt, the wine will be sent back to us.
Additional charges may be incurred by the carrier for missed/attempted delivery and return shipments due to numerous delivery attempts. A refund will be issued minus the return shipping cost and a 25% restocking fee.

EXTREME WEATHER
We not do not currently offer thermal/ice-pack shipping options. If you are concerned about heat or frost damage but would like to ship your wine immediately, we do offer expedited shipping options for an additional fee. Please reach out to info@winemoderne.com for further details.
SUMMER HEAT AND WINE
We all know the months of July, August and September get blazing hot. Summer purchases need to be kept in cool areas, brought quickly home or to your locker immediately! If need be, we will hold your order for a bit until we see a cooler window to safely deliver wine to you.
WINTER COLD
We will also watch out in extremely low temperatures to ensure a wine arrives that is maximum quality. Please check with your salesperson regarding shipping to colder climates that may play a role in the transport.
SHIPPING INSURANCE
Shipping insurance is included on all orders and not optional.
STATES AUTHORIZED FOR DIRECT SHIPMENT
Due to various state laws laws restricting the shipments of alcohol, we currently can not ship wine to all of the 50 states. Please contact us for the specifics on your selected shipping location.
